This project consisted of the rescue, recovery, and cleanup operations at the World Trade Center site after the tragedy on September 11, 2001. RAI was retained as an Integrity Monitor and Auditor to monitor four general contractors conducting the cleanup activities at the site. RAI staff conducted daily walk-through site tours and produced weekly reports and equipment activity logs, while working hand-in-hand with the New York City Department of Investigations and Thatcher Associates. RAI was also responsible for auditing invoices and monitoring the contract bid process for future work.
